Mueller’s History of Cover-Ups

Former FBI Director Robert Mueller has been in the news lately due to his inquiry into Russian interference in the 2016 U.S. elections. After a 12-year stint leading the Bureau, the longest ever since J. Edgar Hoover, Mueller is now seen by many as an honest man serving the interest of the American public. However, that perception cannot be defended once one knows about Mueller’s past.

What some people don’t know about Mueller is that he has a long history of leading government investigations that were diversions or cover-ups. These include the investigation into the 1988 bombing of Pan Am Flight 103, the investigation into the terrorist financing Bank of Credit and Commerce International (BCCI), and the FBI investigations into the crimes of September 11th, 2001. Today the public is beginning to realize that Mueller’s investigation into Russian collusion with the Trump campaign is a similar diversion.

Mueller’s talents were noticed early in his career at the Justice Department. As a U.S. Attorney in Boston during the mid-80s, he helped falsely convict four men for murders they didn’t commit in order to protect a powerful FBI informant—mobster James “Whitey” Bulger.” According to the Boston Globe, “Mueller was also in that position while Whitey Bulger was helping the FBI cart off his criminal competitors even as he buried bodies in shallow graves along the Neponset.”

Mueller was then appointed as chief investigator of the 1988 bombing of Pan Am 103 in Scotland. The account Mueller produced was a flimsy story that accused a Libyan named Megrahi of coordinating placement of a suitcase bomb that allegedly traveled unaccompanied through several airports to find its way to the doomed flight. Despite Mueller’s persistent defense of this unbelievable tale, Megrahi was released from prison in 2009 and died three years later in Libya.

With the Pan Am 103 case, Mueller was covering up facts related to some of the of victims of the bombing—a group of U.S. intelligence specialists led by Major Charles McKee of the Defense Intelligence Agency. McKee had gone to Beirut to find and rescue hostages and, while there, learned about CIA involvement in a drug smuggling operation run through an agency project called COREA. As TIME magazine reported, the likely explanation for the bombing, supported by independent intelligence experts, was that U.S. operatives “targeted Flight 103 in order to kill the hostage-rescue team.” This would prevent disclosure of what McKee’s team had learned. That theory was also supported by the fact that the CIA showed up immediately at the scene of the crash, took McKee’s briefcase, and returned it empty.

Mueller’s diversions led to his leadership of the Criminal Division at the U.S. Department of Justice, putting him in charge of investigations regarding BCCI. When Mueller started in that role, members of Congress and the media were already critical of the government’s approach to the BCCI affair. Mueller came into the picture telling the Washington Post that there was an “appearance of, one, foot-dragging; two, perhaps a cover-up.” Later he denied the cover-up claim and the suggestion that the CIA may have collaborated with BCCI operatives.

But again, Mueller was simply brought in to accomplish the cover-up. The facts were that BCCI was used by the CIA to operate outside of the rule of law through funding of terrorists and other criminal operatives. The bank network was at the root of some of the greatest crimes against the public in the last 50 years, including the Savings & Loan scandal, the Iran-Contra affair, and the creation of the al-Qaeda terrorist network.

Mueller was instrumental in obstructing the BCCI investigation led by Manhattan District Attorney Robert Morgenthau. During this time, Justice Department prosecutors were instructed not to cooperate with Morgenthau. Describing Mueller’s obstruction of Morgenthau, the Wall Street Journal reported that, “documents were withheld, and attempts were made to block other federal agencies from cooperating.”

Describing Mueller’s role in the BCCI cover-up more clearly, reporter Chris Floyd wrote:

“When a few prosecutors finally began targeting BCCI’s operations in the late Eighties, President George Herbert Walker Bush boldly moved in with a federal probe directed by Justice Department investigator Robert Mueller. The U.S. Senate later found that the probe had been unaccountably ‘botched’–witnesses went missing, CIA records got ‘lost,’… Lower-ranking prosecutors told of heavy pressure from on high to ‘lay off.’ Most of the big BCCI players went unpunished or, like [Khalib bin] Mahfouz, got off with wrist-slap fines and sanctions. Mueller, of course, wound up as head of the FBI, appointed to the post in July 2001–by George W. Bush.”

Yes, in the summer of 2001, when the new Bush Administration suspected it would soon need a cover-up, Mueller was brought in for the job. Although suspect Louis Freeh was FBI Director in the lead-up to the crimes, Mueller knew enough to keep things under wraps. He also had some interesting ties to other 9/11 suspects like Rudy Giuliani, whose career paralleled Mueller’s closely during the Reagan and first Bush administrations.

Under Mueller, the FBI began the whitewash of 9/11 immediately. Mueller himself lied repeatedly in the direct aftermath with respect to FBI knowledge of the accused hijackers. He claimed that the alleged hijackers left no paper trail, and suggested that they exercised “extraordinary secrecy” and “discipline never broke down.” In fact, “ring leader” Mohamed Atta went to great lengths to draw attention to himself prior to the attacks. Moreover, the evidence the accused men supposedly left behind was obvious and implausibly convenient for the FBI.

Meanwhile, Mueller’s FBI immediately seized control of the investigations at the World Trade Center, the Pentagon, and in Shanksville, PA where United Flight 93 was destroyed. Under Mueller, leaders of the Bureau went on to arrest and intimidate witnesses, destroy or withhold evidence, and prevent any independent investigation. With Mueller in the lead, the FBI failed to cooperate with the government investigations into 9/11 and failed miserably to perform basic investigatory tasks. Instead, Mueller celebrated some of the most egregious pre-9/11 failures of the FBI by giving those involved promotions, awards, and cash bonuses.

As FBI whistleblower Coleen Rowley later wrote with regard to 9/11, “Robert Mueller (and James Comey as deputy attorney general) presided over a cover-up.” Kristen Breitweiser, one of the four 9/11 widows known as the “Jersey Girls,” stated something similar:

“Mueller and other FBI officials had purposely tried to keep any incriminating information specifically surrounding the Saudis out of the Inquiry’s investigative hands. To repeat, there was a concerted effort by the FBI and the Bush Administration to keep incriminating Saudi evidence out of the Inquiry’s investigation.”

Supporting Breitweiser’s claims, public watchdog agency Judicial Watch emphasized Mueller’s role in the cover-up.

“Though the recently filed court documents reveal Mueller received a briefing about the Sarasota Saudi investigation, the FBI continued to publicly deny it existed and it appears that the lies were approved by Mueller.”

Mueller’s FBI went on to “botch” the investigation into the October 2001 anthrax attacks. As expected, the result was a long series of inexplicable diversions that led nowhere. The anthrax attacks occurred at a time when Mueller himself was warning Americans that another 9/11 could occur at any time (despite his lack of interest in the first one). They also provided the emotional impetus for Americans and Congress to accept the Patriot Act, which had been written prior to 9/11. Exactly why Mueller’s expertise was needed is not yet known but examining the evidence suggests that the anthrax attackers were the same people who planned 9/11.

With knowledge of Mueller’s past, people can see that he is not in the news today to reveal important information about Russia and the Trump Administration. To the contrary, Mueller is in the news to divert attention away from important information and, most likely, to prevent the Trump Administration from being scrutinized in any real way.

  1. Could it be that Mueller is working behind the public view to achieve a Presidential pardon for himself by doing a big sting?

  2. My question is, Why isnt Mueller in prison?!

  3. Catte says:

The circus/distraction element is real enough, but isn’t Mueller also there to help quell any possibility of Trump improving relations with Russia any time soon? Russia-hate and eventual regime change in Russia is the central US policy and its ultimate aim. Iraq, Syria, Libya, even Iran are just stepping zones to that. I think Mueller is just one aspect of the drive to keep that policy on track, even as its prospects of success are diminishing and it risks initiating WW3.

It’s all about controlling energy. Right now the US has an overabundance of natural gas thanks to fracking. They’ve been building LNG terminals along the Atlantic Coast with no one to sell it to. Who uses lots of natural gas? Europe. Where do they get a large percentage of their gas? Russia. The US has been trying to block every pipeline that Russia has attempted to build. Its existing lines pass through Ukraine, so in the event a war breaks out expect Ukraine to cut off those lines, which will force Europe to turn to… American energy interests. Germany is the most dependent on Russian gas, which is why Merkel hasn’t been leading the charge against Russia.

As for Trump, he wasn’t supposed to be President when this whole thing was started. Check out what I wrote a year ago, here: https://caucus99percent.com/content/okeydoke-americans-were-supposed-get

        Bob in Portland,
Just happened onto your Caucus 99percent piece on Mueller via a Consortium News.com link. https://consortiumnews.com/2019/05/14/the-real-mueller-gate-scandal/
Thank you for initiating that path for all to see. Col Fletcher Prouty, whom you’re likely aware of, did an excellent job of documenting the precision with which the CIA infiltrated and took over the U.S. armed forces’ command prior to Vietnam, and also amongst other gross perfidies, sabotaged the May 1960 nuclear arms summit that might have made the Cold War unnecessary by making sure Gary Power’s U-2 would starve for fuel in the heart of not just the USSR, but Russia itself.
        How loathe these rancid fuckers.

  4. Barry Kissin says:

Mueller himself was the only witness in the “Amerithrax oversight” hearings conducted by the House and Senate Judiciary Committees on Sept. 16 and 17, 2008. Mueller did everything he could do to cover up the single most important piece of evidence regarding the anthrax attacks; namely that the anthrax mailed to Senators Leahy and Daschle was weaponized with an advanced technology developed by the CIA and DIA.

    • Bob In Portland says:

As I recall, the corporation that handled anthrax for government testing, sorry, I forget the name, had an office within a mile of that mailbox where the anthrax was mailed. Funny how the corporation handling the anthrax for the government was so close to the crime scene and no one thought to investigate or mention it. Mueller, on the job again.

      • geeyp says:

Just like the corporation in the Skripal case in the UK was down the street from the “crime scene”.

  5. Bob In Portland says:

If I recall correctly, Mueller was also involved in the prosecution of Manuel Noriega, who, until he started blabbing about things related to George HW Bush, had helped the CIA/Iran-contra money-laundering, arms smuggling and drug smuggling through Panama. Mueller managed to prosecute Noriega without disturbing the Iran-contra hornet’s nest of criminality there. Investigative reporter Daniel Hopsicker, who’s done lots of work around various deep state activities in Florida to include the 43 pounds of heroin discovered in a Huffman Aviation plane coming into Orlando International while Mohammed Atta was matriculating at their school in Sarasota (none of which Mueller noticed), mentioned that it was Mueller who prosecuted what was known as the “drug tug” case in the San Francisco Bay Area, another Deep State drug operation with tentacles extending to other crimes. He overlooked those CIA connections too.

Mueller steered the Pan Am investigation from the original suspects, a group of Palestinian terrorists in Frankfurt, to two agents from Libya. However, the original group had been furnished a bomb by Monzer al-Kassar. Al-Kassar at the time was a weapons supplier for Iran-contra. He was also running the biggest heroin ring supplying Europe and the US at the time. Very understandable why a coverup artist would want to stay away from those things.

He also denied Patty Hearst’s request for a pardon. If you don’t know the connection of Operation Phoenix CIA agent Colston Westbrook to the SLA case, then read up. You’ll understand Mueller’s motives.

During the 1960s Mueller was aide-de-camp for a Marine general in Vietnam where he got to see Phoenix close up. As a good deep-stater he never tattled on the murder, torture and population control going on there.

Mueller came from a rich family background. In 1966 Robert Swan Mueller III married Ann Cabell Standish. Ann’s grandfather, Charles Cabell was the man directly under Allen Dulles at the CIA during the Bay of Pigs operation, and was fired by Kennedy because of their duplicity. Charles Cabell’s brother Earle was the mayor of Dallas at the time of Kennedy’s assassination there. During the torrent of JFK documents declassified last year was that Earle Cabell, at the time he was mayor of Dallas, was also a CIA asset. There are also reports which I haven’t confirmed that Mueller was somehow related to Richard Bissell. It’s a small world.

So whatever Mueller eventually finds in his investigation of Trump, we all now know what he won’t find: the CIA.

Thanks, Bob. If you have any links laying around I’d sure like to follow up on this. Google has made searches on volatile (to their interests) matters a real time-waster. I appreciate your information – BIGLY.
I’m going to forward this piece to Coleen Rowley for vetting and then will likely share it to the world via my contacts.
      Thanks again.

      • Bob In Portland says:

The family links were in the Wiki entry on Mueller, at the bottom as were Mueller’s service in Vietnam. For the life of me, I can’t remember where I saw the thing about him denying Hearst’s pardon. Much of the information about Pan Am 103 and the connection to Monzer al-Kassar was in a Congressional report from the early nineties. I’ll dig around for a copy of it. Al-Kassar essentially was performing a role that Viktor Bout performed in the early days of Afghanistan, moving weapons in, moving product out. As I recall, McKee was part of that October Surprise meeting back in 1980 (in Paris?), and an Israeli agent also in attendance at that meeting, whose name I don’t recall off the top of my head, was killed in a small plane accident in Mexico around the same time as Pan Am 103. I can’t recall if the plane crashed or he fell out. This suggested to me, at the time, that 103 was part of a cleanup operation tying up the final loose ends of the October Surprise. I wrote an article on that for the (now defunct) Portland Free Press. If you have a PO Box or address, I can mail stuff to you. You might want to track down a copy of the Interfor Report on 103 also.

Mueller is like the cover-up crew of Okla. City that showed up for the Twin Towers and WTC7 – Gorley and that little fink, John Gross, and that defense atty. that showed up for the Tsarnaev kid: “He did it.” She also helped out with a couple other patsies that avoided death at the scene. I think she’ll show up as a part of the Nicholas Cruz defense team – the confession is a little weak and it appears that’s the only evidence he shot anyone. American Pravda!

Trump administration has suffered distraction after distraction. No wonder we are getting mixed messages from him. He was overly pressured to not do what he campaigned on regarding foreign policy. And now this today with Syria again. Mueller should wear an orange jumpsuit. He is up to his neck in crimes against the state. The Hague was not used yet. Kevin’s “Another Nineteen” should exist in every American home. My thoughts.

  9. Adam says:

Some of the other theories about PanAm involved drugs – i think heroin- moving through Frankfurt Airport. We now know that an al Qaeda terrorist with ties to US law enforcement, David Coleman Headley, was arrested at Frankfurt airport in 1988 for smuggling drugs for a Pakistani militant group.

In terms of Whitey Bulger, he has been linked to corruption at the Boston FBI. Allegedly, Boston is where OBLs “china white” heroin entered the US before being moved south to places like New York. A relative named Abdullah Bin Laden lived in Boston and frequented “The Helmand” restaurant, an Afghani restaurant owned by the Karzai family, who later took over Afghanistan after 9/11 and have been accused of drug trafficking.

Ex Massachusetts governor William Weld, who is a close friend of New York mayor Rudy Giuliani, appointed his limo driver, Joseph Lawless, as head of security at Massport, where two of the four planes were hijacked. I don’t know much about the history of Mueller, but maybe he knows Weld too.

  10. Sassy4Truth says:

Where the hell has this article of facts been, and why isn’t it more widely known throughout the country?

    • geeyp says:

This Fake Media we have now in the MSM are not going to report any truth, and they will mock truthtellers who prove evidence of corruption. E.g. Julian Assange; and they will destroy reputations so that Kevin Ryan loses his position. The economy they own, so people who don’t dig their lies lose their home and positions in society. This “article of facts” clearly should get wide spread attention and there are many more like it since the JFK assassination. See Kevin Ryan’s “Another Nineteen” and also James Douglass’ JFK masterpiece from 2008. Kevin is one who really put many pieces together of who did the 911 master crime.

  11. Critical Thinker says:

Ray McGovern’s theory is that the Russia investigation is there to “clip Trump’s wings,” or in other words to undermine his political legitimacy because he was not chosen by the people who are supposed to pick the president and said some risky stuff during the campaign. Noam Chomsky, a 9/11 truth denier, thinks that the purpose of Trump is to divert attention away from the GOP Congress’s evisceration of social programs. So, that agrees with Kevin’s theory. Got to love Kevin Ryan. Go, baby!!

  12. doctor Jim Swire says:

As father of one of the PA103 victims, this article and its comments raise the hairs on the back of my neck. Alusions to people and events which we touched upon in our search over
the last 30 years for the truth as to who killed our families, why they did it, and why they were not prevented from doing it are uncanny and suggest the truth is in there somewhere.

But where exactly, and how do we extract and refine it?

Were we correct to abandon attempts to penetrate the wickedness of US intelligence, or should we have tried herder to achieve that?

    Quis codet ipsos custodeinses anyone??

Rothschild agent Oleg Deripaska has been one of the most important financiers of Paul Manafort (and Rick Gates). The Mercury of Manafort and Gates from 2012 to 2014 together with the Podesta Group lobbied for the Ukraine.

Robert Mueller was a schoolfriend of none other than Skull & Bones member John Kerry, who ran in the 2004 presidential election “against” another Bonesman, George Bush Jr…
In 2009, Deripaska started collaborated with the FBI (when Mueller was still FBI director).
Bizarrely the indictment of Paul Manafort doesn’t even mention Deripaska.

Through attorney Adam Waldman, there are connections from Deripaska to Wiklileaks’ Julian Assange and former MI5 agent Christopher Steele (of “the dossier”).

Mueller succeeded Oliver “Buck” Revell as Chief FBI investigator of Pan Am 103. In 2001/2002 Revell joined Altaf Nazerali, Treyton Lee Thomas, and Yassin (Yassin) Al Qadi (Kadi) creating Imagis Inc., a fraudulent Canadian penny stock “pump and dump” that brought a stockholder law suit. How or why would a recently retired Deputy Director of the FBI and head of counter-terrorism before John P. O’ Neill (whose family’s law suit against Saudi Arabia for the 911 plot that included Yassin Al Qadi as a key operative) vett Al Qadi when Al Qadi was, at the time, but on both the FBI’s terrorist watch list and asset freeze list?

I have followed your powerful testimony for years. Don’t forget Lisa Martino-Taylor’s 800 plus page open source PhD dissertation on Minoru Yamasaki’s Pruitt-Igoe Project in St. Louis, demolished in 1972 by CDI that leveled the WTC rubble after 911.

Look at Yamasaki’s Rainier Tower in Seattle for proof of the power of a modern steel building’s central core column to withstand plane strikes and earthquakes. Unlike the WTC, Yamasaki’s “Beaver Building” had no reinforcing fascade.

When Pompeo recently spoke at Texas A&M and said of the CIA that “We lied. We cheated. We stole.” He was speaking from the campus of former President and CIA Director, Robert Gates, now at William & Mary, of the GHWB Presidential Library, where a student bonfire killed eleven in a collapse that later Engineers said would not have happened it they had used a central steel column.

In 1988 Revell’s son was scheduled to fly on Pan Am 103, but changed his itenerary. Revell sued for libel the reporters who made the connection—and lost!

In 1988, an important Presidential election year, Salem Bin Laden died in Cibolo, Texas at an ultralight airport owned by Earl Mayfield, father-in-Law of General Bruce Carlson the commander of the National Reconissance Office (NRO) whose 911 War games reportedly confounded NORAD.

Salem’s ultralight equipment supplier, George Harrington, was the only American to ever meet and speak with OBL with Salem in Afghanistan. The FBI never interviewed Harrington.

    One word seems appropriate: Bamboozle!

I was Revell’s pastor in Plano, Texas.

  17. The FBI OK’d the destruction of a collection of anthrax samples collected over 70 years, at the Iowa State University in Ames, in early October 2001, as the anthrax scare was in full throated panic mode. Why would that be done? And why would that be allowed? And who approved it?
